Moisson Outaouais Receives the Standards of Excellence Certification from Food Banks Canada
Moisson Outaouais is proud to announce its official obtaining of the Standards of Excellence Certification from Food Bank Canada. This national recognition underscores the quality, integrity and impact of our work with our affiliated member organizations and their beneficiaries.
This accreditation marks a significant step in our journey. Not only does it reflect upon our rigorous practices in hygiene and healthiness, governance and administration, but it also underscores our great commitment towards the people we support. It also validates what we have always done: respond with care, compassion and solidarity to the needs of our community.
The Standards of Excellence of Food Bank Canada serve as a reference throughout the country to evaluate the quality of services offered by food banks. They cover essential spheres like the respect of beneficiaries, food safety, operational effectiveness, and continuous improvement. Receiving this recognition indicates that our organization is sustainable, strong and resolutely future-oriented.
A Recognition that Reasserts Our Fundamental Purpose
At Moisson Outaouais, we believe that eating is much more than a basic need, it is a fundamental lever to build healthy, dignified and resilient communities. Every day, we mobilize our team’s energy, our donators’ generosity, our volunteers’ precious time, and the support of our partners to respond to a complex, human, often invisible, but very real situation in our region.
Moisson Outaouais distributes more than 1.5 million kilos of foodstuff each year throughout its network of 50 affiliated organizations. And this certification reinforces our will to always do better. It allows us to continue to develop, innovate and collaborate within a national network committed to reduce hunger in a sustainable way. It solidifies our capacity to work hard, but also wholeheartedly, here, in the Ottawa Valley.
