France Bélisle is known for her ability to popularize complex issues. Her journalistic and political background has helped her master communications in times of crisis. She is co-president and founder of Posture Inc., a Gatineau company that specializes in human resources, strategic communication and governance.
First woman to be elected mayor of Gatineau, she is the author of L’heureuse élue, published by Les Éditions de l’Homme. She tackles her fight for values that pushed her into leaving politics. As a lecturer, she cares about political administrative relations, women in power, the effects of polarization in the public speech, and human being and politics.
France spent 15 years with the public information service of Radio-Canada as a journalist, director and producer, before becoming Director of Public Relations and Public Mobilization with the president’s office of CBC/Radio-Canada.
She also served as CEO for the Association touristique de l’Outaouais (Ottawa Valley Tourism Association) from 2015 to 2021.
With a Master’s Degree in Journalistic Ethics and Professional Conduct from Carleton University in Ottawa, she is also certified in Management and Strategy Skills from the Leadership Institute.
She has been serving on the Board of Directors of Moisson Outaouais since June 2024.
