Press Release: Helping Our Children, One Snack at a Time! (7th Edition)

August 28, 2025

Moisson Outaouais is happy to launch the 7th Edition of its annual campaign “Helping Our Children, One Snack at a Time!”, an essential initiative to sustain children who face the challenges related to food insecurity.

Every day, numerous families don’t know how they will manage to fill their children’s lunch boxes, a heavy burden for those who are already struggling to make ends meet. In view of this situation, Moisson Outaouais aims at offering children nourishing and healthy snacks when they come back to school.

The aim is to pack and distribute 24,000 snacks to the region’s children, which is equivalent to three snacks a day during a complete school week. Each bag will be filled with nourishing food, in particular apples, oranges, cheese, fruit compotes, granola bars, cartons of milk, etc.

“Offering nourishing snacks means investing in children’s health, personal development and healthy lifestyle. For certain families, back-to-school season represents a costly period, and this campaign allows us to reach out and help them in a concrete way”, explains Marie-Pier Chaput, Communications Director of Moisson Outaouais. We invite everyone who wishes to make a difference for children to join us. Every donation, no matter how small, will have a true impact and will allow them to go to school with healthy snacks.
